Statement of the Problem

Shakomatic and PPA have both claimed a minor mountain range between their respective settlements.

Ruling

As PPA concedes, both of the parties are settlements, so neither is able to own land. Therefore, the Politbüro doesn't deem it proper to give settlements exclusive rights to disputed or any other lands. As such, the Politbüro has decided to allow both parties to manage projects on the mountains. Furthermore, it forbids either party from interfering with the projects of others within the confines of snowy mountains between Karak Khaldun and Klamdau and reminds both parties that neither settlement may claim any land beyond the immediate surroundings of its buildings.

This verdict is binding from the moment of publishing.

Above is the map of the disputed area. The County of Klamdau, my settlement, is outlined in green; Winterlyn of niller1703 is outlined in blue; Shakomatic's Karak Khaldun is outlined in red. Karak Khaldun is a vassal of Winterlyn.

The thick green/blue line is the border niller1703 and I agreed on about a month ago. Evidence for this, a chatlog of when we discussed the border, is on the talk page. The deep red outline is the disputed part, which Shakomatic started claiming some time after he moved in. The thin lines are each party's current claims.

The green dot is an unfinished manor which I am building, which is within Shako's claim. Also within the disputed area are a sign I placed on the mountain over a week before he arrived in the area, a few cobblestone border posts which I placed after Shako moved in (which he removed and I rolled back later), and Koinu's cross. I encourage the political moderators to teleport there and to verify these with a melon block.

The status quo is that I have built a small wall along the border I currently claim (which is less than the border I agreed on with niller). Shakomatic insists on owning the entirety of the mountains as a matter of honour; I insist on retaining my parts of the mountain because they're an important scenic background for my settlement and I am building a small mansion there; niller1703 (Shako's liege) has been unavailable for comment. A compromise seems impossible.

Shakomatic has agreed to keep the scenic beauty of the mountians within veiw of ppa but claims ownership due to security and mining within said mountians.

Neither of the parties involved are nations; they're all settlements.
